Really good story, comedy and songs - Must watch

Before going to this musical I knew few things from The Book of Mormons, like the song ‘Hello’ (from the Tony Adwards 2012), that it was written by the creators of South Park and that it was good. My brother recommend it to us. It was hilarious. I loved the song ‘Turn it off’. And thorugh the musical I kept having this flashes to South Park style. The story is really good and the ending made me laught. Not being a native speaker and not knowing the songs/lyrics before hand, made a few moments difficult, because I couldn’t understand what the characters where saying. That and not recognizing a few characters that probably are part of some USA history. But the story and music are amazing, the cast was hilarious and if you like comedy and critisims rolled in a musical, you should totally see it.

Ok but beware

The music was ok but very high pitched. I'm not Mormon but felt a bit uncomfortable making such fun of others closely held beliefs. In contrast I literally cried laughing when I saw Nunsense years ago. If the same type of play was done about Islam and Mohammed I shutter to think what the fallout would be. It seems that the only group that one can make fun of these days is white Christians. That being said the part where the African "converts" reenacted the story of Mormonism was truly hilarious. Tickets were reasonable...seating was about as good as it gets. I was not offended, had some laughs but won't be back.
